As Judge of the 18th Judicial Subcircuit of Cook County, I will serve with the same level of fairness and integrity I have used to serve this community the past 24 years and impart the knowledge and dedication that are essential in a strong judiciary.
I began as a student at Elk Grove High School shadowing Judges at the Rolling Meadows Courthouse as part of a public service course. I then went to college at Loyola University Chicago where I majored in Criminal Justice followed by DePaul University College of Law in Chicago graduating in 1999 before going to work for Cook County as an Assistant State’s Attorney where I continued as a prosecutor for 10 years. Since leaving that office I have continued to practice law in the same area courthouses as well as working with Catholic Charities Legal Assistance.
I’ve spent years working with police and in our justice system making sure that victims of crime are represented and our communities are kept safe. I am a well respected and longtime member of the legal community.
I likewise served on the foundation board of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association which raised money and awarded scholarships to in-need law school students and served on the board of Magdalene House which helps victims of human trafficking.

I have practiced in government, private practice, and the public sector which is valuable experience not many Judges have. I can think of nothing more humbling and rewarding than to continue serving this community as your Judge. This has been a lifelong career goal of mine and I am confident I have the experience, knowledge, and respect of my colleagues to be a successful Judge for you.

Nearly 25 years experience as an attorney.
I joined the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office right out of law school and worked as a prosecutor for 10 years handling all types of criminal cases including the most serious felonies. I then went into private practice where I continue to handle criminal matters in addition to family law and other litigation. I have appeared in court almost daily for nearly 25 years.
I pride myself on being down to earth, fair, and dedicated to ensuring that EVERYONE has access to justice.
In helping those less fortunate understand and navigate our legal system, I currently supervise Catholic Charities Legal Assistance in Chicago.
